Procurement FAQ
What to confirm when selecting stone, reviewing a sample or preparing a project inquiry.
Materials & appearance
How should I choose a stone for my project?
Start with the intended application, location and desired appearance. Send a product reference or preferred material so we can review the stone specification, finish options and requirements for that application. Use confirmed material information and agreed samples as the basis for approval.
Will the delivered stone look exactly like the website image?
Natural stone varies in colour, veining and texture. Website images help you shortlist materials and designs; original photographs, current slab images and agreed samples provide the basis for selection. Styled images illustrate a product and its setting rather than the exact appearance of a future piece.
How do I confirm the surface finish?
Specify the finish separately from the stone name. Share your preferred sheen and texture, together with the intended use. Ask whether a sample of that finish can be provided and confirm the appearance before approving production. Suitability and care requirements should be reviewed for the chosen material and application.
Samples & specifications
Can I request a material or finish sample?
Tell us the product or material reference, preferred finish, application and delivery address. We can then confirm sample availability, format, any preparation and shipping charges, and the expected dispatch date. These details depend on the request.
Where can I find dimensions and technical details?
Send the product name or reference and the dimensions you need. Request the relevant drawing, dimensions, weight, finish and installation details for review. The quotation and approved drawings should identify the final specification and scope of supply.
What should I check before ordering a bathtub or basin?
Confirm overall dimensions, internal dimensions where relevant, weight, drain and overflow arrangements, fittings included, and the installation method. Have the project installer review plumbing compatibility, support and access to the installation position before approving the order.
Custom work & quantities
What information is needed for custom stone fabrication?
Send dimensioned drawings or a clear reference, material preference, finish, intended application and quantity. Identify cut-outs, joints, edges, fixing interfaces and any critical tolerances. We can review feasibility and clarify which details need confirmation before a quotation or sample is prepared.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Order requirements depend on the product, material and fabrication scope. Include your estimated quantity in the inquiry, even if it is preliminary. Minimum quantities and other order requirements are confirmed in the quotation.
What information helps you prepare a quotation?
Include product references or drawings, dimensions, material, finish, quantities by item, destination and the required arrival date. Note any sample, packing or documentation requirements. List any details still to be decided so we can review them with you.
Timing & delivery
How is the production schedule confirmed?
Share your required arrival date and allow time for specification review, sampling where needed, approvals, production and transport. A schedule can be confirmed once the material, scope, quantity and approval requirements are clear. Website references do not imply immediate stock availability.
What delivery information should I provide?
Provide the destination country, city or port and, when known, the final site address. Describe unloading access, storage and any limits on package size or handling. The quotation should state the packing scope, delivery terms and responsibilities for transport and site handling.
What should be agreed before the order is approved?
Check the product schedule, material and finish references, approved drawings, quantities, scope of supply, price, payment terms, packing, delivery terms and schedule. Keep revisions clearly identified. Confirm open items in writing so the purchase order and production instructions refer to the same specification.
